FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE RiverSoftAVG Announces Collaboration with Raize SoftwareNew VCL component set makes it easy to inspect objects and other data types in Delphi and C++Builder applications.August 7th, 2007 -- RiverSoftAVG is very pleased to announce a collaborative product between RiverSoftAVG and Raize Software, Inspex. Inspex is an advanced set of native VCL grid controls specifically designed for inspecting objects and other data types in Delphi and C++Builder applications. RiverSoftAVG has exclusively licensed the core technology of their Object Inspector Component Suite (OICS) to Raize Software. Working in close collaboration, the OICS has been re-branded as Inspex, extended, and incorporated into the Raize Software family of developer tools. In particular, Inspex consists of four custom inspector grid controls that offer similar functionality, but are designed for different inspecting situations. From the light-weight TIxItemListEditor for editing lists of name-value pairs to the advanced TIxObjectInspector for inspecting all published properties of objects and components, there is an inspector control in the Inspex collection that will meet your needs. “After evaluating various inspector controls, we selected OICS for use in our CodeSite product,” said Ray Konopka, President of Raize Software. “What impressed us most was how quickly we were able to accomplish what we wanted—without sacrificing functionality. The key was having separate inspector controls optimized for certain situations instead of having one general-purpose, hard to use control. As such, Inspex makes a great addition to our other user interface control sets: Raize Components and DropMaster.” Thomas Grubb, of RiverSoftAVG and chief architect for Inspex, adds, “I am really happy to work with Ray Konopka and Raize Software. Like many early Delphi component developers, I cut my teeth on Ray’s component development book. I am honored that Ray chose to collaborate with RiverSoftAVG. At the same time, it is humbling how working with Ray has taken Inspex to the next level. The experience has been good for the product and will be even better for our customers.” Inspex comes with complete source code and has a suggested list price of $99. It is available exclusively through Raize Software. Registered users of RiverSoftAVG’s OICS can upgrade to Inspex for $39. (RiverSoftAVG customers who purchased OICS after May 1, 2007 will be given a free upgrade to Inspex.)
